HPLIP does not detect usb printer after update

Hi,
I had done a fresh install of Fedora 25 with mate about a month back. All went well and I could use my usb-connected HP1020 plus after installing hplip. But after a dnf update last week, hplip stopped detecting the usb printer. lsusb shows the printer:
Code:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 03f0:2b17 Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 1020
All the posts I found relate to printer not being detected from the begining, whereas I could use the printer for quite a while. Something happened during an update of fedora25.

Can anyone suggest where I should look for troubleshooting this problem

Thanks in advance
