Problem installing printer with hplip-2.8.5

I am having a problem installing an hp C6180 mfp, net connected, using hplip-2.8.5 on Fedora 8. Anyone out there have a success story to share?

Hplip runs just dandy up to the point of finding the printer then fails. I have successfully installed the printer with hplip on my ubuntu box without a hitch. The folks on the hplip forum have not been of any help, but I have all kinds of reports to share with someone who can help.

Thanks for any help.

Chuck
